A story in five acts,
from industrial culture to the institutional
activities of Lombardy Region
I dream of a Milan made by my fellow architects. I certainly don't want a Milan made up of low houses with one skyscraper here, one there, another there and another there. It would be like a mouth with some long teeth and some short ones. Skyscrapers are beautiful if they’re set side by side, like islands. What I say is not a dream, I say what will be in the future. But for us in Milan, God did nothing. Nothing at all. So it is up to us to make Milan a beautiful city. It is a question of creation. That's why architects who adore Milan, like all Milanese, just want to be able to create, to build.
